Morocco Receives First Shipment of Sinopharm COVID-19 Vaccine from China

Morocco is preparing to transport its batch of anti-Covid vaccines from the Chinese laboratory Sinopharm. A Royal Air Maroc plane took off this Monday, January 25, from Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca to bring back part of the Moroccan order.
The flight time of the RAM Boeing B763 to Beijing is two days. It should be back on Wednesday to bring back the first 500,000 doses of the Chinese vaccine, necessary to launch the national vaccination campaign.
The rest of the Chinese order should be shipped in the next few days. Last Friday, January 22, the kingdom belatedly received 2 million doses, part of the AstraZeneca laboratory order.
Morocco will vaccinate 25 million adults out of 35 million inhabitants. For now, appointment registrations for coronavirus vaccination have started this Sunday for a scheduled start of the campaign this week.
