Morocco Awards Blue Flag to 27 Beaches for Summer 2023 Season

The Blue Flag, an international label dedicated to the quality of beaches and marinas, will fly on 27 Moroccan beaches and three marinas during the 2023 summer season. Here they are.
To obtain this label, the beaches must meet many conditions, including water quality, cleanliness, hygiene, maintenance, equipment, safety, as well as environmental education. Unannounced checks are carried out throughout the season to ensure compliance with the label’s requirements, the statement said.
Among the Blue Flag winners for summer 2023 are notably Oued Laou, Essaouira, Mdiq, Sidi Ifni, Skhirate, Ain Diab extension and Safi Municipale. This label, present in 50 countries on all continents, is a symbol of environmental quality and a global benchmark in the fields of tourism, the environment and sustainable development. All the beaches labeled in 2022 have renewed their flag, except for the Moussafir beach in Dakhla, which has withdrawn its application due to ongoing development work, making it temporarily difficult to access
