Morocco Warns Beachgoers: 27 Beaches Deemed Unsafe for Swimming This Summer

While the 24 clean (Blue Flag) beaches in Morocco were revealed this week, the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development has just published the list of beaches where it is not recommended to swim this year.
Under the evocative title "Monitoring the quality of bathing waters and beach sands of the kingdom", the document lists the 27 beaches in six coastal regions that should be absolutely avoided. Among the criteria retained, we note the deficit in sanitary and hygiene infrastructures or the impact of wastewater:
