Morocco Arrests 19-Year-Old ISIS Suspect Wanted by Interpol in Northern Border Region

A man suspected of links with the terrorist group, "Daesh", has just been arrested in northern Morocco. He was actively wanted by the Moroccan police and the Spanish Civil Guard.
Aged only 19, the suspect was arrested by the services of the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ), in Bni Chiker, in the Nador region, according to a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
"The Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) of the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) arrested, on Friday, in the Municipality of Bni Chiker (province of Nador), in coordination with the Spanish Civil Guard, a 19-year-old individual who was the subject of an international arrest warrant, for alleged membership in a terrorist group," the statement said.
According to the Moroccan authorities, the person concerned, imbued with extremist ideology, has fully adhered to the propaganda in favor of the "Daesh" Group, by praising its bloody acts.
He is accused of having worked to develop his skills in the manufacture of explosives and to obtain firearms, in order to use them in the execution of large-scale terrorist operations, in coordination with the "Daesh" fighters who are active on the Syrian-Iraqi scene.
