Morocco Dismantles ISIS-Linked Terror Cell Planning Attack in Tangier

A terrorist cell whose 5 members had pledged allegiance to "Daesh" was dismantled on Saturday, July 27, 2019, in the morning, in Tangier, by the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ).
On Saturday, July 27, 2019, in the city of the Strait, the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ), which is part of the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), carried out an arrest feat. It is a terrorist cell composed of five extremists aged 24 to 36, including a former detainee, under the anti-terrorism law. The man had fought in the ranks of one of the terrorist groups in the conflict zones in the Syrian-Iraqi scene.
In a statement, the BCIJ provided the first elements of the investigation. It appears that the members of this terrorist cell were in contact with those of the "Daesh" organization, with whom they were coordinating and planning to target one of the sensitive sites of the Kingdom, details the statement, which also specifies that the investigations are ongoing, pending the presentation of the suspects before the justice, after the investigation conducted under the control of the competent prosecutor’s office.
