Morocco Approves Decree to Streamline Government Procedures

The draft decree on the simplification of administrative procedures and formalities was adopted by the Council of Government.
The Council of Government adopted draft Decree No. 2.20.660 implementing certain provisions of Law 55.19 on the simplification of administrative procedures and formalities. This project was adopted last Thursday in Rabat under the chairmanship of the Head of Government, Saad Dine El Otmani.
This decree provides for joint decision-making regarding the model for classifying administrative decisions. It also stipulates the model for the receipt of applications for administrative decisions and the procedures for its issuance to citizens. In this context, a national commission will be created, reports La Map.
This project was presented by the Ministers of the Interior and of Economy, Finance and Public Administration Reform. It comes at the right time in application of the High Orientations of Morocco aimed at administrative reform, specifies Saaid Amzazi, Minister of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research, government spokesperson.
This project will consolidate the relationship of trust between the administration and the user. A trust based on well-defined rules, namely transparency and simplification, mentions the same source.
