Morocco Passes Bill to Streamline Administrative Procedures and Boost Investment

Unanimously, the members of the Justice, Legislation and Human Rights Committee in the House of Representatives adopted draft law No. 55.19 relating to the simplification of administrative procedures and formalities.
Good news for users of the administration who will be able to obtain their administrative documents without much difficulty. This bill, approved in the presence of the Delegate Minister of the Interior, Noureddine Boutayeb, aims to significantly improve administrative procedures and formalities for the benefit of all categories of users. It also aims to encourage the administration to create an environment conducive to the development and improvement of the attractiveness of investments.
With regard to the relationship between the administration and the user, the bill proposes to establish a relationship of trust, and above all of transparency, in administrative procedures and formalities. The administration is also required to list, classify, document and record all decisions, such as licenses, authorizations, certificates, permits and other administrative documents, in addition to simplifying administrative procedures.
This project gives the user the possibility to file an appeal in order to encourage the administration to respect the set deadlines. In short, with its provisions, this bill is a real weapon placed in the hands of users for the performance and revitalization of the public administration.
