Morocco Eliminates 22 Administrative Documents to Streamline Local Government Procedures

As part of the process of simplifying administrative procedures and formalities at the level of local authorities, the Ministry of the Interior has decided to remove about twenty documents.
More precisely, 22 documents have been removed, announced Minister Abdelouafi Laftit, who spoke before the House of Advisors. These include the legalization of signatures, certified true copies, certificates of celibacy or marriage, reports Al Akhbar.
This measure was taken in application of law 55-19 relating to the simplification of administrative procedures which was promulgated in September 2020, the minister stressed, specifying that the department has also ensured, upstream, the development of digital platforms. The aim is to simplify them and improve citizens’ and users’ access to public services.
Regarding the reforms within the ministry, Laftit said that measures are gradually being taken for the adherence of its services to the project of simplification and digitization of administrative procedures. He cited as an example the provision of the national promotion sector with a precise computer system for monitoring the implementation of its programs.
