Morocco to Streamline Bureaucracy: Administrative Reforms Set for 2020

Moroccans will be exempted from certain administrative documents in 2020. The Justice, Legislation and Human Rights Committee in the House of Representatives is working to make this operational as soon as possible.
Simplifying administrative formalities and procedures is one of the bills that the Justice, Legislation and Human Rights Commission hopes to have passed to make life easier for Moroccans. Bill 55-19 has already been adopted by the government council since July 2019 and January 3 is the last day set by the commission for the submission of related amendments, reports Al Massae.
The text provides for measures such as the abolition of the legalization of signatures, the certification of true copies. The bill also provides for new requirements that oblige the administration to classify, document and inventory all decisions, including authorizations, certificates and other administrative decisions.
The few procedures requiring physical presence can be done in the city of residence (including for Moroccans residing abroad). They can be done either through other administrations or through lawyers, notaries, bailiffs, the same source specifies.
