Morocco to Discuss Expansion of Mandatory Health Insurance in Government Council

Four draft decrees will be on the agenda of the Council of Government this Thursday, September 17, which will be held under the chairmanship of Saâdeddine El Othmani.
The first draft decree concerns the application of certain provisions of the law relating to the simplification of administrative procedures and formalities. As for the second draft, it aims to complete the annex to the implementing decree of the law on the basic compulsory health insurance scheme and the law establishing a special pension scheme for professionals and self-employed workers, and persons with a private activity.
As for the third draft decree, it relates to the application of the law on the compulsory health insurance scheme and the law establishing a special pension scheme for professionals and self-employed workers, and persons with a private activity such as judicial officers. The fourth draft decree pursues the same objective as the third, but it is intended for tourist guides.
The Council will ultimately examine proposals for appointments to senior positions in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.
