Morocco’s Airports See 12% Surge in Passenger Traffic, Casablanca Hub Leads Growth

During the first eight months of 2019, nearly 16.7 million travelers transited through the various Moroccan airports, compared to 14.85 million travelers in the same period last year.
The Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca is by far the country’s leading airport with 6,923,746 passengers welcomed in eight months, a strong increase compared to last year, according to data published by the National Airports Office (ONDA).
Despite this increase, the Casablanca airport sees its market share drop from 44.08% in 2018 to 41.49% this year.
As for the airports of Marrakech and Agadir, they take second and third place with 4,163,074 passengers and 1,345,773 passengers respectively, with market shares of 24.95% and 8.07%.
