Morocco Aims to Triple Airport Capacity by 2025, Targeting 60 Million Passengers

Moroccan airports could welcome 60 million passengers by 2025 due to the ever-increasing number of tourists. This is the ambition of the National Airports Office (ONDA).
ONDA intends to build new terminals over the next five years in the major cities of the country in order to achieve this ambition, reports The North Africa Post. These new terminals will thus help decongest the airports and launch new air links.
According to ONDA’s forecasts, a third terminal will be built at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca, to accommodate 23 million passengers in 2025 compared to the 10 million served in 2019; a second airport will be built in Marrakech and the Al Massira airport in Agadir (more than 2 million travelers welcomed in 2019) will undergo an extension that will increase its capacity to 7 million passengers.
