Morocco airports boom: Casablanca dominates growth

National air traffic increased from 17,303,047 passengers in the first half of 2025 to 18,831,461 a year later, representing 1,528,414 additional travelers, according to statistics published by the National Airport Authority (ONDA).

Casablanca, Marrakech, Agadir, Tangier and Rabat alone gained 1,494,505 passengers. These five platforms therefore generated 97.8% of all Morocco’s air traffic growth during the first six months of the year.

They also concentrate 15,892,468 travelers, representing 84.4% of national traffic. All other airports combined gained only 33,909 passengers, which represents growth limited to approximately 1.17%.

Several platforms even ended the semester in the red. Traffic declines by 6.21% in Oujda, by 8.98% in Tétouan, by 15.21% in Ouarzazate, by 7.45% in Guelmim and by 43.82% in Tan-Tan. Fès, with 935,382 passengers, drops slightly by 0.22%.

A few small airports are growing strongly, notably Beni Mellal (+28.34%), Errachidia (+16.88%) and Essaouira (+11.85%). But their volumes remain too low to reduce the increasing concentration of traffic around the Kingdom’s five main platforms.
