Morocco Adjusts Training Schedule Ahead of CAN 2021 Quarterfinals

From the quarter-finals onwards, the matches will be held at 4pm, according to a statement from the Confederation of African Football. To allow the Moroccan players to get used to this change in schedule, Vahid Halilhodzic has changed the training session times.
On Thursday, the training session of the Atlas Lions took place at 4pm instead of 5pm as it had been since the start of the CAN. The aim is to allow the team to prepare in real conditions, since on Wednesday the CAF announced that the matches will be brought forward by one hour. For Coach Vahid, a simple one-hour shift can change many things in terms of the players’ acclimatization.
According to the CAF statement, the match between Morocco and Egypt scheduled to be held at the Olembe stadium has been relocated and will take place at the Ahmadou-Ahidjo stadium at 4pm. A high-voltage match between two teams that know each other, having already met during the 2017 CAN.
