Another new award for the young Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi who has just been elected best young African footballer of the year 2018.
The title was awarded to him yesterday during a ceremony held in Dakar, in the presence of many sports and political personalities including the Senegalese President Macky Sall, the Liberian President and former football star Georges Weah and the FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
Loaned last year by the Real Madrid club to Borussia Dortmund for a period of two years, he should in all likelihood remain in Germany if the Spanish club agrees to let him go.
