The coach of the Moroccan national football team, Hervé Renard, was elected yesterday "best African coach of the year" at the "CAF Awards 2018" held in Dakar, Senegal.
Hervé Renard was up against his Senegalese counterpart Aliou Cissé and the coach of Espérance de Tunis, Moine Chaabani.
Arrived in Morocco nearly three years ago, the Frenchman has managed to qualify the Atlas Lions for the World Cup in Russia, 20 years after the one in 1998 in France.
The objective assigned to him by the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) Fouzi Lekjaa is to win the Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place next June in Egypt.
