Hervé Renard Linked to UAE National Team Coaching Job Amid Speculation
The name of the Moroccan national team coach Hervé Renard is being insistently announced in the United Arab Emirates. A rumor that will no doubt be denied again by the coach and the federation.
It is on Twitter that the Emirati sports journalist Ali Humaid reports the imminent arrival of the coach of the Atlas Lions. "National coach Hervé Renard would be the closest to taking over the reins of the United Arab Emirates national team," he writes, citing several contacts between the local Federation and the French coach.
The arrival in the Emirates would follow the departure of Italian Alberto Zaccheroni who has just announced his resignation from the national team after the resounding defeat of the selection in the Asian Cup and the victory of the great rival Qatar.
Despite this wild rumor, the objectives of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and Hervé Renard should continue at least until the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. It is only at the end of this competition that the decision to leave or stay will be made.
