Moroccan Star Achraf Hakimi Named Best Young African Player for Second Year

The Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi was crowned on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, for the second consecutive year, as the best young African player of 2019, at the CAF Awards in Egypt.
Good news for the Atlas Lions! The youngest African player is Moroccan. At 21, Achraf Hakimi retains the title he already won in 2018.
This year, the young versatile full-back (21 years old) Moroccan received this new distinction from the hands of the Algerian legend, Rabah Madjer. Hakimi was named best prospect ahead of Nigerians Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze.
On loan from Real Madrid to Dortmund, Achraf Hakimi is on the rise. In turn, he has won the Supercup and finished runner-up in the Bundesliga.
Recently elected the fastest player in the Bundesliga, the young Atlas Lion is on the radar of major European clubs, including Bayern Munich and Juventus of Turin. Paris Saint-Germain is also mentioned.
