Achraf Hakimi Shortlisted for CAF’s Best African Prospect Award
Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi is shortlisted in the "best African prospect of the year" category.
The Dortmund side back is among the three best candidates in all categories for the 2019 CAF Awards, unveiled by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The Atlas Lion is competing in the "best African prospect of the year" category with Nigerians Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal/Spain) and Victor Osimhen (Lille/France).
According to CAF, the top three were selected following votes from the CAF Technical and Development Committee and a panel of media experts. As for the final voting phase for the African Player of the Year for men and women, as well as the Coach of the Year for men and women, it will be carried out by the national A team coaches/technical directors and captains of the CAF member associations, it is specified.
The winners of each category will be announced on January 7, 2020 at the CAF Awards ceremony in Hurghada, Egypt.
