Moroccan Star Achraf Hakimi Named 2019 ’Golden Lion’ by Al Mountakhab Magazine

Moroccan international, Achraf Hakimi was elected "Golden Lion" 2019 by the bi-weekly magazine Al Mountakhab.
The star of the national team and Borussia Dortmund totaled 312 points at the end of this poll, conducted with 24 national coaches and 40 media, reports the Map.
The Atlas Lion tops the ranking, just ahead of the Eredivisie playmaker, Hakim Ziyech, crowned Golden Lion 2018 (2nd with 294 points), far ahead of the world’s top scorer 2019 and member of the Saudi club Al-Nasr, Abderrazak Hamdallah (3rd with 66 points).
Initiated in 2004, this prize from the "Almountakhab" magazine rewards the best player on the African continent before consecrating the distinction to national players from 2018, the same source specifies.
