Moroccans Hail Healthcare Workers as ’Heroes’ in COVID-19 Fight

Many Moroccans have expressed their gratitude to healthcare workers who are working tirelessly to treat patients affected by the coronavirus in the kingdom.
On the initiative of volunteer professors, graphic designers and teachers, Moroccans are sending messages of gratitude to healthcare workers on social media. They salute the "incredible efforts" they have been making since the emergence of the new coronavirus in Morocco. For these citizens, these health professionals are "true heroes of the moment and the country".
"Let’s thank our heroes who defend us, doctors, nurses and staff working in the health sector," writes Taoufik Afkinich, a professor in the English department at Ibn-Tofail University in Kénitra. And marketing professor Hassan Azouaoui adds: "Thank you very much to the Moroccan medical staff".
The main Facebook pages such as Creative Brains, Moorish History and Medical News have also thanked the "heroes of the moment". "We trust you; you are the real heroes of the country," can be read on the Facebook page of Moorish History.
As of March 22, the official report of the spread shows 104 cases, 3 deaths and 3 recoveries.
