Tangier Hotel Offers Free Rooms to COVID-19 Medical Staff

To contribute to the national solidarity efforts to contain the coronavirus pandemic, 25 rooms are reserved at the "Le Rio" hotel complex in Tangier for medical staff fighting the new coronavirus (covid-19) at the prefecture of Tangier-Assilah.
18 doctors and nurses from the medical staff are already benefiting from these rooms, confirmed the director of the "Le Rio" hotel, Hamid Lachiri, in a statement to the MAP. He also specified that the hotel management offers complete services to the beneficiaries as part of the national solidarity efforts to contain the virus.
According to the hotel manager, this solidarity approach aims to provide the necessary conditions for the care and isolation of the medical staff from their families in order to reduce the risk of virus spread. He did not fail to call on the other hotel units in the city to contribute in this direction to protect the families of the caregivers on the front line in the fight against the virus.
In addition to the rooms, the hotel, which has 77 tourist apartments, has also made bathrooms and kitchens available to the medical staff, separate from the rest of the clients. Moreover, the accommodation conditions are similar to those of hostels to guarantee a psychological comfort to the medical staff.
The hotel management also offered an open stay to the medical staff with all the necessary services in order to limit their movements and guarantee their accommodation close to the hospital establishment in charge of taking care of the cases affected by the coronavirus.
