Moroccan YouTuber ’Moul Casquetta’ Trial Delayed Amid New Complaints

The "Moul Casquetta" trial was postponed last Tuesday to December 19. This was the decision of the court of first instance in Settat.
The court of first instance in Settat has postponed the trial of YouTuber "Moul Casquetta" to December 19. He is being prosecuted for publishing a video dated November 29, 2019 containing insulting remarks against Moroccan citizens and affecting their dignity and constitutional institutions.
Questioned by Le360 after the hearing on Tuesday, December 10, Mohammed Ziane, the YouTuber’s lawyer, said that the postponement of the trial is explained by the new complaints filed against his client. According to him, thirty associations have joined the case as civil parties against "Moul Casquetta".
The defendant is currently being prosecuted while in custody, as stated in a press release from the public prosecutor’s office at the court of first instance in Settat.
