Moroccan YouTuber Sentenced to 4 Years for Insulting King and Citizens

Mohamed El-Sakaki, alias "Moul Lkaskita" will indeed serve 4 years in prison and pay a fine of 40,000 dirhams. The Court of Appeal of Settat confirmed, on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, the first instance judgment, handed down on December 26, 2019 against the YouTuber.
Arrested on December 1, 2019, Mohamed El-Sakaki, alias "Moul Lkaskita" has just seen his prison sentence confirmed.
"Following the publication of a video on YouTube, dated November 29, 2019, on a channel bearing the name ’Moul Lkaskita’ containing insulting remarks against Moroccan citizens, and touching on their dignity and their constitutional institutions, the individual was arrested and taken into custody for the purposes of the investigation," said a statement from the prosecutor of the king near the court of first instance of Settat.
A small amount of drugs was found in his possession during his arrest, the same statement said.
