Moroccan YouTuber Detained for Unauthorized Drone Footage of Sports Complex

Accused of filming the Prince Moulay Abdellah sports complex with a drone without authorization, the owner of a YouTube channel was arrested and then detained.
The owner of the YouTube channel "Ana Jit" is no longer free to move around. He was arrested following a complaint filed by the administration of the Moulay Abdellah sports complex. They had just come across a video published by "Ana Jit" on the facility. On Friday, the prosecutor at the court of first instance in Rabat ordered the detention of the owner of the channel. He is accused of using a drone to film the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex. He is being prosecuted for taking images of regulated and construction areas under the responsibility of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).
The detainee is accused of filming without authorization and illegal possession of a drone. The investigation revealed that he had filmed the renovation work in progress at the sports complex using a model similar to those used by the Royal Gendarmerie and the National Security services. The drone was also seized and made available to the public prosecutor’s office. The owner of the "Ana Jit" channel then returned to the site to document the progress of the work. He is also accused of having disseminated inaccurate data on the project of the new Hay Riad train station, the investigation also reveals.
