Morocco Expands Drone Fleet with New Chinese Combat Aircraft

After acquiring Chinese drones, including the Wing Loong 2, which it deploys in the Moroccan Sahara, Morocco is once again turning to China for the expansion of its drone fleet.
Morocco continues its policy of strengthening its defensive capabilities and expanding its fleet of advanced drones. It has signed a new agreement with China for the acquisition of the TB-001K combat drone, nicknamed the "Twin-Tailed Scorpion", reports Spanish media. The unit price of this drone is around $280,000, or two million Chinese yuan. This acquisition is part of a series of agreements concluded between Morocco and China in recent years, aimed at strengthening the technological superiority of the Moroccan army through the acquisition of cutting-edge equipment and weapons.
Designed by the Chinese group Sichuan Tengden, the TB-001K drone stands out for its ability to carry up to 1.5 tons of ammunition and its exceptional endurance, which can reach 8,000 kilometers with a continuous flight time of 40 hours. The aircraft can also operate at a maximum altitude of 10,000 meters, which gives it a strategic role in reconnaissance and attack missions.
The TB-001 is a twin-engine, twin-tailed reconnaissance and attack drone. It can be dedicated to emergency rescue, patrol and transport missions. Built mainly of composite materials, the Chinese drone can carry a variety of lightweight missiles for ground attacks, such as light vehicles and personnel.
