Deadly Epidemic Ravages Livestock in Moroccan Village, Farmers Plead for Aid

The inhabitants of a douar in the commune of Tifni, province of Azilal, are launching a cry for help to the competent authorities and veterinary services to cope with the spread of an epidemic that is decimating their flocks of sheep and goats.
The inhabitants are calling for the immediate dispatch of veterinary medical teams to determine the nature of this deadly epidemic and take measures to limit its spread and save the threatened herds.
A resident of the region has deplored the inaction of the competent authorities in the face of this situation. "We have already lost several heads, and others are threatened with death if nothing is done quickly. We live from livestock farming and we call on the authorities concerned to save our source of livelihood that is disappearing before our eyes".
