Morocco Bolsters Military with Advanced Chinese Reconnaissance Drone

The Royal Moroccan Armed Forces (FAR) are preparing to receive the Chinese drone TB-001, capable of carrying up to 1.5 million rounds of ammunition.
Known as the "Double-Tailed Scorpion", this drone developed by the Chinese company Sichuan Tengden Sci-Tech Innovation Co. Ltd has a flight endurance of 40 hours and an operational altitude of up to 10,000 meters. With a wingspan of 18 meters, a length of 8.8 meters and a height of 2.7 meters, the TB-101 has a maximum take-off weight of 1,950 kilograms and a maximum range of 8,500 kilometers, according to La Razon.
The TB-001 is a twin-engine, double-tailed reconnaissance and attack drone. It can be used for emergency rescue missions, patrols and transport. Mainly built with composite materials, the Chinese drone can carry a variety of lightweight missiles for ground attacks, such as light vehicles and personnel. According to Moroccan sources, its unit cost is estimated at around 2 million yuan (about $280,000).
