Moroccan Workers Lead Non-EU Contributors to Spanish Social Security

The Spanish Ministry of Labor, Migration and Social Security has indicated that 259,773 Moroccans, at the end of November, were affiliated with the social security system.
Moroccans remain at the top of the ranking of non-EU foreign workers who contribute to the Spanish social security system. They are followed by the Chinese, who number 98,027. According to the same data, during the first eleven months, around 2,073,741 foreigners were affiliated with the Spanish social security system, well below the number recorded in the same period of 2019.
The total number of foreign workers who have contributed to the Spanish social security and originating from non-EU countries is 1,324,056. Those from European Union countries number 749,685.
According to the same source, the number of Moroccans legally established in Spain has increased by 5.4% compared to last year.
