Moroccan Workers Lead Non-EU Contributors to Spanish Social Security System

Some 275,116 Moroccans were registered with the social security system at the end of October in Spain, according to the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration.
Thus, the Moroccan community remains at the top of the ranking of non-EU foreign workers contributing to the Spanish social security system, followed by the Chinese (105,409).
According to these data, the total number of foreigners affiliated with the Spanish social security system reached 2,261,144 people in October, an increase of 20,369 compared to September.
Of all the foreign workers contributing to the Spanish social security system, some 1,462,671 people are from non-EU countries and 798,473 are from European Union countries.
The same source points out that the number of Moroccans legally established in Spain has increased by 0.4%, i.e. 869,661, compared to last year. Moroccans have thus maintained their position as the largest foreign community legally settled in Spain.
