Moroccan Workers Rank Second Among Non-EU Contributors to Spanish Social Security

A total of 268,749 Moroccans were registered with the social security in Spain at the end of last July.
With this number, Moroccans hold the second position in the ranking of non-EU foreign workers contributing to social security in Spain, just behind Romanians (332,634), according to data from the Spanish Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration. Italians (139,870) and Chinese (104,000) occupy 3rd and 4th place respectively.
In total, 2,160,232 foreign workers were affiliated with Social Security in July, 13,242 more employees than the previous month (+0.62%). These workers represented 11.36% of the total number of affiliates.
It should be noted that the sectors with the most affiliated foreign workers are hotels (9.9%), artistic and recreational activities (7.2%), water supply, sanitation activities (7.05%), household activities (5.9%), and administrative and support service activities (5.49%).
