Moroccan University Al Akhawayn Tops Maghreb in Global QS Ranking

The QS Ranking has just unveiled its ranking of the best universities in the world. As last year, it is a Moroccan university that takes the lead in the Maghreb.
This year, Al Akhawayn has again broken the record by taking the lead, ahead of the Cadi Ayyad University of Marrakech, the Mohammed V University of Rabat and the Abdelmalek Essaâdi University of Tangier-Tetouan, at the national level.
According to Le matin, the Moroccan university has achieved a feat by positioning itself in the 71-80 range among the institutions concerned, by region, at the level of the Arab region.
The same source reports that the QS university ranking, a structure that ensures the ranking of these universities, is in the top 3 of international university rankings, alongside the Times higher education ranking and the Shanghai ranking.
To compile this ranking, several evaluation criteria are taken into account, including academic reputation, the faculty/student ratio, scientific research and the number of scientific articles published.
To these criteria are added the number of international faculty, the number of faculty holding a doctorate, the use of new technologies and the number of foreign students.
