Moroccan Truck Driver Arrested in Spain for Fatal Hit-and-Run on Highway Worker

Mossos d’Esquadra agents from the regional traffic area of Sant Feliu à Llobregat arrested last Wednesday a Moroccan who fatally struck a highway maintenance worker with a refrigerated truck and fled the scene.
The 47-year-old Moroccan, driving a refrigerated truck, fatally struck one of the two maintenance workers who were working on the AP-7 motorway towards Tarragona. The second agent was not injured, reports 20minutos.
The driver mounted the barricaded lane, knocking over several traffic cones before hitting the agent. He then abandoned the damaged vehicle a few meters away and fled before being located and arrested. Subjected to an alcohol test, he tested negative.
