Moroccan Man Arrested in Spain After Standoff, Violating Restraining Order

Civil Guard agents arrested in Inca (Majorca Island) a Moroccan who had repeatedly violated the restraining order with his ex-wife. Before his arrest, he threatened to jump from the fifth floor.
The Civil Guard officers on patrol went to the ex-wife’s house, the victim of domestic violence by the Moroccan, after the judge had issued a restraining order. That’s where the agents noticed the presence of the 34-year-old Moroccan on the terrace of a neighboring apartment to that of his ex-partner, reports Ultima Hora.
Knowing he had been spotted, the Moroccan climbed onto the balcony wall and, with a knife, threatened to jump into the void if the agents tried to arrest him. It took two hours of intense negotiations for him to finally agree to surrender.
After his arrest, the Moroccan was taken to the psychiatric service of the Inca hospital, from where he was released the next day. He was then made available to the competent court, which ordered his detention.
