Moroccan Teen Stabbed in Austria: Police Investigate Unprovoked Attack

A Moroccan national residing in Austria was attacked with a knife on the evening of Wednesday, August 7, 2019. A stranger struck him several knife blows, seriously injuring him.
According to a statement from the local police, the 19-year-old victim was attacked by a foreign person while he was with his friends. The suspect had stabbed him in the thigh, causing bleeding, before fleeing.
The statement adds that the young Moroccan and his friends had left the scene of the attack, then headed to a clinic in the city, where the victim received the necessary care. His health condition is not worrying, it is specified.
Following the questioning of the victim and witnesses, an investigation was opened by the local police, in order to determine the circumstances of the assault and to search for the perpetrator, who is still at large.
