German Tourist Stabbed in Tangier, Suspect at Large

A foreign tourist was stabbed on Friday, June 14, 2019. She was hospitalized and the perpetrator of the attack is currently being sought by the police.
The details of this case are provided by the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), in a press release published on Twitter. Thus, it is a question of the opening of a judicial investigation "concerning the arrest of an individual author of a physical assault with a knife against a German national in her fifties."
"According to the first testimonies of a resident present at the crime scene, the man involved in the assault would have previously become acquainted with the victim. They would have settled together in an apartment for more than a month," the statement said. According to this document, an altercation between the two individuals then occurred, at the end of which "the accused would have tried to deprive her of her handbag by threatening her with a knife."
The investigation continues in an attempt to arrest the alleged aggressor while the victim has been admitted to the hospital to receive the necessary care.
