Armed Robbery Thwarted at Casablanca Bank: Suspect Arrested with Knife

The Casablanca police arrested an individual for his alleged involvement in a theft in front of a bank branch in Ben M’sik, Casablanca. He was in possession of a knife.
A press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicates that the preliminary investigation allowed the detection of three suspects. They stole the suitcase of an employee of a dairy products manufacturing company. This suitcase contained a sum of money.
The victim was about to deposit his money in a bank branch, located on Avenue Idriss El Harti, the DGSN press release said. And it was at this same place that one of the accused was arrested. His accomplices, on the other hand, fled.
For now, the arrested man has been taken into custody, for the needs of the investigation conducted by the Judicial Police, under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office. As for the investigations, they continue on the ground, in order to know the details of the theft and to arrest the identified accomplices.
