Moroccan Star El Kaabi’s Hat-Trick Propels Wydad to Champions League Victory

Wydad de Casablanca won this Saturday against the Angolans of Petro Luanda, thanks to the hat-trick of their playmaker Ayoub El Kaabi, as part of the third round of the CAF Champions League.
On his way to China, after a 2-year loan to WAC, Moroccan international Ayoub El Kaabi bid farewell to WAC by scoring a hat-trick against the Angolans of Petro Luanda. This fine performance allowed WAC to get their first victory in the group stage of the Champions League (4-1).
On a nice move that allowed him to open the scoring in the 29th minute, the historic scorer of the 2018 CHAN has thwarted the plans of the Angolans, who equalized in the 68th minute. Ayoub El-Kabi scored the second goal in the 79th minute before increasing the score in stoppage time (90+3) on a penalty. WAC also benefited from an own goal by the Angolan Wilson Gaspar, in the 84th minute.
With this advantage, the Reds are in second place with 5 points and are now two points behind the leader Mamelodi Sundowns, winners in Algeria against USM Alger (0-1).
