Achraf Hakimi tops the list of the most expensive players in the CAN, according to the CIES Football Observatory. The market value of the Moroccan player who plays for PSG has evolved and is well beyond the cost of his transfer from Inter Milan to the capital club.
The CIES study was based on the five major European championships. The 22-year-old Moroccan player is at the top of the list of the 20 most expensive players in the world, across all championships. He is the only participant in the 2022 CAN to be part of this top 20, which brings together nine nationalities. Thanks to his talent and potential, Hakimi’s value is 108.2 million euros, slightly down.
Regarding the right-back position, Achraf Hakimi is in third place behind Canadian Alfonso Davies and Englishman Trent Alexander-Arnold. He outperforms Rece James and Sergino Dest, ranked 4th and 5th respectively.
