Moroccan Star Belhanda Nears Saudi Move to Al-Hilal After Galatasaray Exit

After his forced departure from Galatasaray, Moroccan international Younès Belhanda is about to return to the Saudi championship. Announced in France, Greece or Spain, he would be closer to Al-Hilal.
Younès Belhanda will not have to remain unemployed for long. After two months spent without a club, the Atlas Lion could resume service. According to the Saudi press, the 31-year-old striker would be in full negotiation with the leaders of Al-Hilal for a 3-year contract in exchange for an annual salary of 5 million euros. The contract would even be in the process of being finalized.
The forecasts on the next destination of the Moroccan player had not predicted the Saudi championship, since he had repeatedly stated that he did not want to play there. He had been cited on the side of his former club, Montpellier, after the president of the Ligue 1 club, Laurent Nicollin, declared that he wanted to offer his former player the opportunity to make his comeback. Belhanda had also been linked to a move to Olympiacos in Greece or to Valencia in Spain. But Saudi Arabia seems to be the most serious track.
To recall, it was last March that Younès Belhanda was fired by Galatasaray for having "harmed" the club, but also for having made insulting remarks towards the club’s leaders. "The leaders must find a solution. Even the lawn of our training camp is in better condition. Instead of being obsessed with Twitter and Instagram, or being interested in the media, take care of the field," he had said on Turkish television.
