Moroccan Midfielder Younès Belhanda Set for Montpellier Return After Galatasaray Exit

Fired from Galatasaray, Moroccan international Younès Belhanda is said to have agreed to join the club where he started his career: Montpellier. He is expected to sign a three-year contract, according to some indiscretions.
At 31, Younès Belhanda is going back where it all began. According to l’Équipe, he is joining the club that allowed him to be crowned French champion in 2012. Even if the contract is not yet signed at the moment, the sports daily reports that a verbal agreement has been reached and that it would be a three-year contract.
L’Équipe presents the player as a "choice reinforcement" for the club. Other clubs like Trabzonspor and OGC Nice, where he played in 2016-2017, have tried to enlist him in recent times, without success. Clubs from Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
To recall, Galatasaray announced on Wednesday, March 10, that "Younès Belhanda’s contract has been unilaterally terminated." The club justified its decision for "damage to the club’s image and the reputation of the members of the board of directors," and for "repeated violations of the regulations."
