Moroccan Star Aboukhlal Likely Out for Season After Knee Surgery
Toulouse FC has announced that Zakaria Aboukhlal is likely to miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery for an injury.
Before his injury on Thursday, the 23-year-old Moroccan international had participated in the five Ligue 1 matches of TéFéCé, scoring three goals. But he was injured just 40 minutes into Toulouse’s 1-1 draw in the Europa League. It seems that his right knee was the one affected.

Although the club reported the success of the operation, it is unlikely that Aboukhlal will be able to play for the rest of the season. His absence will be a blow for Toulouse, but also for the Moroccan team, which has to play two matches in October and especially participate in the Africa Cup of Nations in January. The Atlas Lions are touted as the favorites.
