Moroccan Speeding Driver Arrested After Fatal Hit-and-Run of Gendarme Near Tangier

A man crashed head-on into a gendarme this week as he was trying to stop him for speeding, to issue him a ticket. He was apprehended.
On Tuesday, near the village of Sidi Kankouch, between Tangier and Ksar Sghir, a gendarme was killed after being hit by a car he was trying to stop due to the reckless speed at which it was driving. This gendarme was in charge of the radar to record speeding violations and the roadblock to stop offenders. He died in the line of duty. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop, hit the officer and then fled.
But, according to Goud, he has just been arrested. The media writes: "Goud has just learned that the man, nicknamed "Taztoz", who hit a gendarme and killed him on Tuesday, near the village of Sidi Kankouch between Tangier and Ksar Sghir, has been arrested."
The same source specifies that Taztoz has a criminal record and had in fact recently left prison. He had been sentenced for shooting bullets with a rifle. The media does not specify on whom or why.
