Moroccan Man Arrested for Secretly Recording Gendarme with Hidden Camera

There’s no joking around with the law. For attempting to film his discussion with a chief warrant officer of the Royal Gendarmerie, an individual has just been placed in detention after a complaint from the agent.
The individual, in his forties, was wearing a spy camera on the button of his shirt and was amused to film his discussion with a chief warrant officer of the gendarmerie brigade in the commune of Sidi Slimane.
According to the daily Al Akhbar, the chief warrant officer noticed the deception and ordered the gendarmes to search him before leaving the brigade. The individual tried to deny the facts, but the recording contradicted his allegations.
Placed in custody for the purposes of the investigation, the man was transferred to the Outila 1 prison in Sidi Kacem on the charge of insulting and harming a civil servant in the performance of his duties.
The newspaper does not, however, specify the reasons that prompted this individual to want to film the gendarmerie agents. He will probably have the opportunity to explain himself in court.
