British Tourist Jailed in Morocco for Insulting and Threatening Official

This Thursday, a British national was sentenced to six months in prison because he insulted and threatened to take revenge on a Moroccan civil servant.
According to Goud.ma, this British citizen was apprehended by the gendarmerie of Ouled Tayeb in the vicinity of the spiritual capital of the Kingdom, Fez. A complaint had previously been filed against him by a civil servant.
This complaint concerns acts of insults, humiliation and threats of revenge, uttered by the British national against the public official. The Briton was convicted, among other things, of insulting a public official in the performance of his duties and threatening to commit a crime.
Before he was arrested and taken into custody, the investigators collected the testimonies of several people present who confirmed the veracity of the civil servant’s accusations. And the court found nothing to contradict them, since it also sentenced the Briton to a prison term. However, the media does not specify how this case unfolded, why the Briton did this, and which administration it was.
