Moroccan Singer Dounia Batma Jailed: Concert Organizers Face Uncertainty Over Upcoming Shows

The announcement of Dounia Batma’s arrest has raised a lot of concerns among concert organizers. The Moroccan singer had contracts that she had to honor, despite her legal troubles.
Arrested on Wednesday while she was "hiding" in Casablanca, the Moroccan singer Dounia Batma has been transferred to the Oudaya prison in Marrakech where she must serve her one-year prison sentence.
During the long legal process, the singer continued to perform concerts or shows, and this is precisely the problem today since she was supposed to participate in many events, particularly in northern Morocco.
Relatives of the singer have told Aljarida24 that this arrest has placed the organizers in an uncomfortable situation, forcing them to apologize to the clients and the public who were waiting for these events.
They also stated that Dounia Batma’s team is actively working to resolve this situation and find an arrangement with the concert organizers. This is all the more important since the singer had already received an advance payment for her participation in these events.
