Moroccan Security Chief Visits US to Bolster Anti-Terror Cooperation

From June 13 to 14, a Moroccan delegation led by the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, was on a working visit to the United States, as part of strengthening the security partnership between the two countries.
The purpose of this trip was to exchange experiences in the field of domestic security, the fight against terrorist organizations and organized crime networks, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The two parties also agreed on the importance of coordinating joint efforts and developing monitoring and fighting mechanisms, in order to provide a firm response to the various growing risks and threats on an international scale.
On this occasion, Hammouchi had several exchanges with senior American intelligence and security officials on the various security challenges and threats posed by terrorist groups and organized crime networks in many regions of the world, particularly in the Sahel, Sahara, Middle East and Europe.
