Moroccan Prime Minister Visits Human Rights Minister After Kidney Surgery

The Head of Government, Saâdeddine El Othmani, who is also the Secretary General of the Justice and Development Party (PJD), visited Mohammed VI Hospital in Bouskoura where he inquired about the health of Mustapha Ramid, Minister of State in charge of Human Rights and Relations with Parliament. The latter had successfully undergone kidney surgery on Saturday, February 27.
"This Sunday evening, I visited, accompanied by a delegation from the PJD secretariat, our dear brother Mustapha Ramid at the Mohammed VI Hospital in Bouskoura, to inquire about his health following a successful surgical operation, thank God," El Othmani wrote on his Facebook page. "Let us thank God for the health of brother Ramid, awaiting his return to his militant missions, as he has always accustomed us to."
On Friday, Mustapha Ramid had submitted his resignation letter to the Head of Government due to the fragility of his health. But this resignation would also be explained by the fact that he had not been informed of the decision taken by decree and in the Council of Government (also on Friday and exceptionally) to convene an extraordinary session of Parliament as early as Tuesday, March 2. After apologies from the Head of Government, the minister would have renounced his resignation. It remains to be seen whether this will be effective after his recovery.
