Moroccan Politician Abdelouahab Belfqih Dies Following Apparent Suicide Attempt

Urgently transferred to the military hospital in Guelmim in very critical condition, Abdelouahab Belfqih, former elected member of the USFP and the PAM, has just died. The parliamentarian would have been shot or would have tried to commit suicide, early in the morning, at his home in Sidi Ifni.
According to informed sources, Abdelouahab Belfqih, elected member of the PAM and former member of the USFP leadership, died on Tuesday, September 21 at the military hospital in Guelmim, reports Goud.ma. Information indicated that the elected official would have tried to commit suicide this morning by shooting himself in the abdomen with his hunting rifle at his home in Sidi Ifni.
He had been urgently transferred to the military hospital in Guelmim in very critical condition following this suicide attempt. The one who had left the USFP to join the PAM succumbed to his injuries, a few hours before the elections for the presidency of the Guelmim-Oued Noun Regional Council. A position he was coveting.
