Moroccan Official’s Death Ruled Non-Criminal: Investigation Reveals Details

A few days after the death of Abdelouahab Belfqih from a gunshot wound, the Attorney General of the King near the Court of Appeal of Guelmim detailed, on Friday, the conclusions of the investigation.
In a press release, the Attorney General of the King indicated that the incident is not related to a criminal act. The results of the investigation ordered to elucidate the circumstances of the man’s death concluded that the deceased had returned home around 2:30 a.m. on September 21 and had remained confined to his room without leaving it. It was only after hearing a gunshot that members of his family entered his room and discovered the horror. Lying on his back, there was a hunting rifle next to him, and blood was flowing from his abdomen.
Questioned, his relatives said he was still alive when they burst into his room. He had asked not to be taken to the hospital. As for the employees, they assured that they had noticed nothing strange the day before and the day of the tragedy, and that no stranger had entered the house. The autopsy report carried out by the forensic doctor showed that the death was due to a gunshot wound.
The ballistic expertise carried out, for its part, showed that the shot that injured the deceased came from his hunting rifle. After examining the results of the investigation and the expert reports, it was decided to close the case on the grounds that the death is not related to a criminal act, concludes the press release.
